Area high school students will soon be canvassing the Wiregrass with art education.
The opportunity is open to any student through an application process.
Canvas stands for "Creating And Nurturing Volunteer Art Students and allows the teens to teach art to families and kids in the community.
Those interested in applying do not need to be Artisitic just interested in community involvement.
The program provides volunteer opportunities and builds communication skills going beyond the basic volunteer program.
The program is accepting 30-students and is paid for by a grant from the Alabama Art license tag program.
Those interested need to get in touch with their guidance counselor at school.
The application deadline is this Wednesday, Feb. 22.
