Enterprise Lands Hyundai Supplier

South Korea's leading manufacturer of rubber products for the automobile industry is headed to Enterprise.

At Enterprise City Hall, Alabama's new director for economic development, Neal Wade, presented a state seal to Chong Han. Han is senior vice-president of HSR&A Corporation.

HSR&A is a South Korean manufacturer of rubber products, a main supplier for Hyundai Motors. HSR&A will soon breakground on a $20 million manufacturing facility in Enterprise.

The company will create some 350 jobs when production is at full capacity.

Alabama is already known as the Detroit of the South, having landed numerous foreign manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Hyundai.

In April, Gov. Bob Riley is expected to be on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony at the Yancy Parker Industrial Park.

At this time, HSR&A employs nearly 1,700 people worldwide.

Several area officials believe this company may lure other automotive manufacturers to the Wiregrass.
