The city of Dothan honored a long-time philanthropist by re-naming a street after him Friday.
Chickasaw Street has been re-named Rochester Johnson, Sr. Boulevard.
In a ceremony Friday afternoon, more than 100 on-lookers heard reflections from family and friends of the Dothan Civil Rights leader.
Johnson once pastored the historical, First Missionary Baptist Church.
City commissioners proclaimed Feb. 10, as Rochester Johnson, Sr. Day.
Johnson died in 1992.
