The event drew more than 60 area residents.
Many signed petitions asking that the measure be placed before the voters in a special election.
In just two weeks, supporters say they've collected 1,200 of the 2,600 necessary signatures needed to get it on the ballot.
Petition spokesman Bucky Wilkes says Geneva County is already wet.
But, it's a revenue issue with folks going to neighboring Florida and surrounding wiregrass counties to buy their liquor.
November 1990 was the last time a wet-dry referendum was held in Geneva County, it failed by a 56-44 percent vote.
