Coffee County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man suspected of kidnapping a Dale County woman.
Authorities said Ricky Carlisle was taken into custody about 5 a.m. Tuesday. The arrest was made in a rural area near Elba in Coffee County.
Carlisle was taken to the Crenshaw County Jail.
Authorities said the victim was abducted from her home and driven to Crenshaw County where she was sexually assaulted, beaten and shot.
Investigators believe Carlisle drove the victim to Coffee County and released her, where she was able to get help.
