Jurors in Massachusetts have seen video of prison guards frantically trying to open the cell of a child-molesting former priest, who was strangled by another inmate.
The tape shows guards trying to get into John Geoghan's (GAY'-gunz) cell, which was jammed shut with a book.
Officials say the other inmate was inside for about four minutes before the guards discovered him, and another nine before guards dragged the inmate out.
Geoghan had been serving a nine-to-ten-year sentence for groping a ten-year-old boy but had been accused in lawsuits of molesting 150 youngsters.
Joseph Druce confessed to killing Geoghan, saying he did it to protect other children. Druce faces life in prison without parole if convicted of first-degree murder.
