Enterprise-Ozark Micropolitan Top 100 in U.S.

A Florida corporation says the Enterprise-Ozark Micropolitan area is the third strongest in Alabama.

Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell says it’s an indication that business leaders and officials in both Coffee and Dale counties are working together.

There are some 577 Micropolitan areas nationwide and there are 13 in Alabama. Essentially, a Micropolitan area has a population between 10,000 and 50,000.

The cities of Enterprise and Ozark have a combined population of just fewer than 40,000 residents.

Mayor Boswell stresses the stability of Fort Rucker as the key ingredient for the economic success of both his city and Ozark.
