Prosecutors will pursue the death penalty against a Pennsylvania teenager accused of murdering the parents of his 14-year-old girlfriend.
The girl fled with him. But statements that 18-year-old David Ludwig gave investigators have prompted them not to charge the girl. Officials say Kara Beth Borden had no role in planning or carrying out the killings.
New charges involving a firearms violation and sexual assault have been added against Ludwig. Prosecutors dropped a kidnapping charge.
Prosecutors say Ludwig killed Michael and Cathryn Borden last month after an argument over his relationship with their daughter. He was captured the next day after a high-speed chase ended when he crashed his parents' car.
