Taylor Police Chief Gerald Monday is in a Dothan hospital, after he was injured in a one-car accident Wednesday.
The wreck happened around noon at the intersection of Dee Clark and Trawick Roads.
State Troopers said Chief Monday was trying to catch up with a traffic violator when he lost control of his patrol car. The car skidded through the intersection and into a ditch.
Monday suffered a broken arm in the accident and will soon undergo surgery.
