Two sisters are out of the hospital after being hurt by one of those giant balloons during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

An eleven-year-old needed nine stitches in her head. Her 26-year-old sister was bruised. They were hit by falling parts after the M-and-M's Chocolate Candies balloon snagged a street light. One spectator says "it dropped like a rock."

A spokeswoman says Macy's Santa Claus visited the injured eleven-year old and the store arranged for the family's return home to Albany.

The girls' father, Stephen Chamberlain, tells The New York Times that the family plans to return to view the parade again, next year, anyway.
