2013 Atlantic Tropical Season Review: Hurricane Humberto

It would not be until September that the first Hurricane would form in the Atlantic this year.

After forming into a Tropical Depression and later a Tropical Storm off the African coast, Humberto would become the first Hurricane of the season on September 11th, 2013.

The storm had peak winds of 85 miles per hour, but weakened quickly and became a remnant low on September 14th.

However, like Gabrielle, Humberto would get a second wind, so to speak, and became a Tropical Storm again on the 16th of September.

As it curved to the north in the Central Atlantic, it would not become a Hurricane again and by September 19th, was no longer being tracked by the National Hurricane Center.
