This story was updated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2 with additional information from the Bay County Sheriff's Office.

Two women were injured yesterday after their parasail broke free from the boat towing it in Panama City.

Authorities say Sidney Good and Alexis Fairchild were in the parasail as it collided with the Commodore Condo and then continued over the condo to hit power lines along Thomas Drive. A southbound wind caused the women to hit several cars in the condo parking lot before landing on the East side of the lot.

The Bay County Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene. Good and Fairchild were transported to the Bay Medical Center.

The captain of the boat towing the parasail was identified as Tyler Churchwell.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission remains the primary agency on this investigation. The case is currently pending and no further information is available at this time.
