Deputy Taser Investigation

A suspect has been tased in Dothan after fleeing from a sheriff's deputy.

The incident happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m. afternoon, deputies pulled the suspect over and he tried to run away.

Deputy tased the suspect, who then went unconscious.

Dothan medics responded and transported him to an area hospital.

His condition is unknown.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigations is looking into the incident.

News 4 will have more on this story and what all goes into issuing tasers to law enforcement tonight at 5 p.m

    from the looks of it this cop waited for him to pull out of the store to harrass him whether he was wearing a seatbelt or not weres the audio before the incident this is ridiculous harrassment bottom line

    Well he should have not run..They had to stop him..What was he hiding???Must have been something or he would have not run..And how did they know who he was??There is no telling who they took off the streets..If they had not of stop him when he ran and then he was a really bad person and went on down the road and done something really bad then everyone would be wanting to know when they had him why didn't they stop him...So see the cops done what they thought was right unless proven other wise..Good Job...It is getting where the BAD is out weighing the GOOD...And the cops have just a minute to think and make the right choice..

    Is this all that happened? Why doesn't the news media wait till the whole story is told before reporting it in a way that tries to make law enforcement look bad? It never ceases to amaze myself and others what the media will do for a "story".
