Twelve seats on the General Board of the International Church of God in Christ are up for renewal.
Oscar Lewis Meadows is the Bishop of Jurisdiction one in the State of Alabama and he is running for a seat.
Meadows traveled to Dothan for a campaign rally.
Meadows became a Bishop in 1991, and he is the first Alabama native to run for the chair.
Bishop Meadows says he would like to see a balanced budget in the church, and that pastors get the recognition and retirement fund.
