Drug Dealers Targeted in Police Crackdown

An undercover investigation into the crack cocaine trade is netting some big results in one Wiregrass city.

Last November, Geneva County Sheriff's investigators and Geneva Police arrested Sylvester Sikes, Jr as part of "Operation Who's Next".

Last month, three others arrested in the ongoing drug operation. They were either convicted or pled guilty to drug charges.

Last night, two separate juries convicted 43-year-old Sylvester Sikes and 28-year old Jeffrey Harley.

Both men remain in the Geneva County jail awaiting sentencing in about one month.

Each can receive a maximum 99-year in prison.

Sheriff Greg Ward stresses that his undercover operatives continue to gather information on crack cocaine dealers doing business in the Wiregrass and Florida panhandle.
