Police Seek Library Robbery Suspect

Police are investigating the robbery of the Houston-Love Memorial Library.

The incident happened Thursday night around 8 p.m. Police say a black male entered the library and demanded money. The suspect made away with about $75 in cash.

Library employees say they can not remember an incident like this happening before and are frustrated the robbery put their customers at risk.

“The sad thing is that people don't realize that this frightens people away and luckily we had no children in here last night,” said Julia-Ann Jenkins with Houston-Love Memorial Library.

If you have any information on the robbery you can call Crimestoppers at 793-7000.

Why in the world are the city Fathers wasting all this money ao things the city can do without instead of using it to imorove the security of the people. It seems the bad guyes know there aren't enough police and can pull their robberies any time they want. Use some of the extra tax dollars they can't wait to spend on a larger and better paid police force with gbetter equiptment.
