The Downtown Group sponsored a brainstorming session Monday night at the Dothan Opera House.
The meeting allowed a special panel of economic planning and development experts to sit down with local business leaders, property owners and public officials so they could map out a set of goals.
Input from the meeting will be used to form a long-range plan for the future of Dothan's central business district.
Officials with the Downtown Group hope to have the initial study completed and preliminary report ready for review by this summer.
