Alabama's Free Fishing Day set for Saturday

Anglers from across the state and beyond have the chance to fish for free this weekend.

Each year, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources designates a day for the public to fish recreationally in public waters without a fishing license.

This year Saturday, June 7 has been designated Free Fishing Day. The law was approved by the Alabama Legislature.

It invites residents and non-residents to participate.

Several events are planned around the state as a part of Free Fishing Day. To learn more ADCNR visit www.outdooralabama.com
