Hillcrest Six Weeks Ahead of Schedule

Construction of the new Hillcrest Elementary School is six-weeks ahead of schedule.

Architects reported the weather has not caused any delays in construction on the 15-million dollar building.

Hillcrest Elementary along with adjacent Enterprise High School were destroyed in last year's deadly tornado.

New elementary school is expected to open for the 2009 school year.

In addition, city school Superintendent Jim Reese says expenses are running less than anticipated in the bidding process for the new Enterprise High School.

Expenses are LESS than expected!!,,So Maybe we didn't need the increase in Sales Tax after all!! But Once a Tax is approved and Legally Enacted there is NO Turning Back, the tax will last as long as there are citizens to Pay it. It will not make any difference if Insurance Money grants and personal donations by far exceed the estimated cost to rebuild both schools,,The Sales Tax will never be repealed!
