Two Dothan Murder Suspects, Two Different Verdicts

A murder suspect has been found not guilty in a Houston County circuit court.

Demetrius Roberts and Solomon Knight were both charged with murder in the killing of Rodricky Williams.

The 21-year-old victim was shot to death outside the Southern Knights Lounge in Dothan in July of 2006.

Jurors deliberated about 20-minutes before acquitting Roberts.

Knight was standing trial in another courtroom. Jurors found him guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter Tuesday afternoon.

Sentencing for Knight has been set for June 17th.

This is an excellent example the "fine" judicial system in this county( or should I say the jury trials). They both should have been found guilty of murder. Was the jury afraid or were they asleep? Poor boys from a broken home and family in prison, I guess it was bound to happen (the murdering). What excuse will they use next time???
