PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Bay County authorities say they have ruled the death of a Georgia man who was pulled from the water during a weekend triathlon an accidental drowning.
Patrick Kane died at a hospital shortly after he was pulled from the Gulf of Mexico during the Gulf Coast Triathlon on Saturday.
Jeff Martin -- the office director for the Bay County Medical Examiner's Office -- says the agency classified the death as an accidental drowning after the 38-year-old's family requested an autopsy not be conducted.
