As the Supreme Court prepared to hear a case involving Oregon's doctor-assisted suicide law, dozens of supporters of that law gathered outside.

They waved signs, including one that read, "My Life, My Death, My Choice."

One man from Virginia said Oregon "ought to be proud of having taken the first step."

Oregon is the only state that allows doctors to help terminally-ill patients end their lives.
