Beginning in October, Alabama residents can begin paying their 2006 property taxes at their respective County Revenue Commissioner's Office.
But, it's not often when you find someone happy to pay his taxes.
Evangelist Mark Rowe of the Bellwood Community was the first resident of Geneva County this year to pay his share.
Reverand Rowe forked out over $600 in property taxes. He says when you consider improvements to roads, bridges, and schools, taxes are not such a bad thing:
