Dothan City Commission Big Votes

Dothan city commissioners are accustomed to making important decisions that affect the city and its residents.

The Dothan city commission did not vote on changing meeting times back to the morning Tuesday but will vote on it in the future possibly in two weeks.

The commission did vote to accept the deed on the Old Howell School Building in a 4-3 vote; some commissioners called the building a liability.

And finally the one million dollars promised by the commission to Dothan City Schools was accepted unanimously.

Dothan City Commission Paul Lee said, "Those new projects are projects the city will move forward on we'll start with the new school year...This money will help fund these items and we're proud to be a part of that."

One million dollars will be given over a period of time until the city gets it into their budget.
