Robbery Suspect Arrested After High Speed Chase

A man held up two Dothan businesses, fled the scenes and wrecked his car just inside the Dale County line.

Tuesday night, Family Dollar store on Westgate Parkway was robbed at gunpoint around 7:50 pm, then 8:15 pm Big Lots on Ross Clark Circle was robbed at gunpoint.

A Dothan police officer saw the robber and tried to conduct a traffic stop.

The high speed ended just north of the twin bridges on Highway 231 north when the alleged robber's vehicle struck hit another vehicle and crashed.

There were no injuries during either robbery.

The suspect was the only person injured in the crash.

    Wouldn't it be great if we used the method the Chinese use to deal with violent criminals. When it comes to a criminal justice system that deals swiftly and ruthlessly with violent criminals, we could learn alot from the Chinese.
