Hartford Police Get Equipped with New Laptops

Hartford police are going high-tech when it comes to writing speeding tickets.

An Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs grant has paid for nine e-citation laptops that allow officer to electronically write a traffic citation.

Hartford is the first city in the state to receive so many of the e-citations at one time.

The city of Birmingham received only seven.

The laptop ticket-writing computers are also widely being used by Alabama State Troopers.
