Train Hits Car in North Florida, but Driver and Three Children Unharmed

LIVE OAK, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a train hit a car carrying three children in North Florida -- but there were no injuries reported from the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the Chevy SUV failed to stop Sunday at the crossing guard arms that warn of an oncoming train. A Union Pacific train hit the front end of the car at tracks near Live Oak.

The 27-year-old driver Adalaida Maya was not harmed, and neither were her passengers: 6-year-old Susan Maya, 3-year-old Lorenza Maya and 1-year-old Electerro Maya.
