Fort Rucker soldiers were busy today helping the Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity and The Ordinary People's Society. About 30 soldiers helped lay sod for a Habitat house that will be donated to a local family later this month.
The soldiers also helped re-model a house on North Alice Street that will be turned into a soup kitchen to feed the homeless. The soup kitchen is part of the T.O.P.S. ministry and so far, has fed many hurricane evacuees in our area. The soup kitchen is expected to be fully operational within the next two weeks.
