A former Miami-Dade inspector for the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been arrested on bribery charges related to hurricane disaster relief.
The US Attorney's office says Tywanishia Preston was arrested after a federal grand jury indicted her on multiple counts of receipt of bribes by a public official and making fraudulent claims for disaster relief after Hurricane Frances.
Her arraignment is scheduled for October 27.
Hurricane Frances made landfall last September in Martin County. FEMA helped residents who suffered property damage.
