Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers says she hasn't told anyone her views on the landmark ruling legalizing abortion.
Senator Charles Schumer says Miers told him that "nobody knows my views" on that case.
How Miers feels about other topics is expected to be revealed today when Miers gives the Senate Judiciary Committee her Supreme Court questionnaire.
There's still no date for her confirmation hearings.
Senate Judiciary chairman Arlen Specter was involved in a politically awkward moment yesterday. He told reporters Miers had voiced support for two privacy-related rulings where the court affirmed a right for couples to use contraceptives.
But former Indiana Senator Dan Coats said later Specter was mistaken. He says Miers said what she has said before, that she's not commenting on specific cases.
A Specter aide later said the senator accepts that he misunderstood what she said.
