A warning from the US State Department: Americans in the Middle East and North Africa may be targets of terrorists using biological weapons as well as conventional arms.
The warning also says sea-born vessels traveling in the southern Red Sea are among the possible targets.
The State Department says its concerned extremists may be planning to carry out attacks against Westerners and oil workers on the Arabian Peninsula.
The warning says Americans considering sailing near the Horn of Africa in the southern Red Sea should exercise extreme caution.
