Lawmakers in a typical year make $30,710 in salary and expense allowances for what is officially a part time job.
The compensation includes $1,050 a year in salary, with the rest in daily and monthly expense allowances.
Their last pay raise was passed in May 1991.
One lawmaker said being a legislator has become more of a full-time job in recent years and that 12 years is a long time to go without a raise.
But several legislators said the raises may not go through because of tough economic conditions.
