The City of Dothan is discussing a wastewater project with construction costs around 46 million dollars.
The Alabama Department of Environmental Management says the Beaver Creek Wastewater Treatment facility doesn't meet permit.
The City of Dothan can apply for a loan to help fund the project, but they have to do so by May 1st.
There will be a public meeting to discuss alternatives to the proposed action, environmental impact and other considerations relating to the project.
That meeting will be tonight at 6 pm at the Dothan Opera House in Downtown Dothan.
The public is invited to attend.
