An Alabama toddler, left unattended was found unconscious inside a pick-up truck. After he apparently rolled the electric window up and got caught by his neck.
Mobile authorities say the three-year-old Hurricane Katrina evacuee from Pascagoula was left alone in the truck, in a post office parking lot, while his mother's boyfriend was inside.
They say the young boy hit the button and the window automatically rolled up. A passerby witnessed what happened and called 9-1-1. The child was unconscious when officers arrived. He was taken to the university of South Alabama hospital. No criminal charges have been filed in the case.
However, the mobile county district attorney's office will determine if "child neglect" charges are warranted in the case. In the meantime, the boy is in foster care.
