The food and drug administration has approved the use of the anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor to help reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in type-two diabetics.

Drug maker Pfizer says the approval is for people who have no signs of heart disease, but for those who have multiple risk factors for the condition.
