Work has been underway for two years to four-lane a 20-mile stretch of Highway 77 from Panama City to the Washington County line.
Officials want to extend the four-laning from the greenhead community to Interstate 10.
But, the town of Wausau may be "cutoff" by a bypass.
Several Washington County elected officials say such a "bypass" would kill the small community.
The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public forum on the four-laning project on Monday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m.
It'll be held at the National Guard armory in Chipley.
