The bank robbery happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Barbour County Bank on Eufaula Avenue.
A man handed a note to one of the tellers demanding money and threatening her life. The teller handed over the money and the suspect left through the front door of the bank.
A short time later, two sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle matching the description of the robber's white car. The suspect's name has not been released.
