Alabama Governor to Get Award for Helping Homeless

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Governor Bob Riley is one of three governors being honored today by the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness.

The council announced Riley will join the governors of North Dakota and Utah in receiving the "Home for Every American" Governor Award in Washington.

Council Executive Director Philip Mangano said Riley was chosen for forging partnerships to prevent homelessness in Alabama.
