National Peanut Festival Is on its Way

The 62nd Annual National Peanut Festival preparations are underway, and the entertainment for the event was released Monday.

There are several new events being added along with the old ones. This year, children may participate in what is called the Do-Da Parade.

Also coming back to the festival are the Calf Scramble, and the Greasy Pig Chase. The grand marshal for the event is Congressman Terry Everett.

The peanut festival will be held November 4th through the 13th.

The entertainment will include country music stars Craig Morgan, Lonestar, and the Charlie Daniels Band, to name a few.
