Man in Custody After Making Bomb Threats

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Mobile arrested a man for making bomb threats against the several businesses.

The bomb threats were called in just after 3 p.m. Sunday and prompted the evacuation of a hotel and a Wal-Mart.

Officer Eric Gallichant, a police spokesman, said 38-year-old Ronald G. Thompson was arrested inside Mobile Infirmary West.

He said investigators searched Thompson's hotel room and found several suspicious devices, which were made safe.

Thompson had two I-D cards, one from Florida and the other from Georgia. Police said be could faces charges including making terrorist's threats.
