Senator Sessions Visits the Wiregrass

Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions is making rounds in the Wiregrass. On Thursday, he addressed citizens of Ozark in a public forum.

The senator gave a short speech touching on the war in Iraq, supreme court nominee John Roberts, and Alabama’s standing with the Base Realignment and Closure Commission. During a question and answer period, he was asked about a senate committee approval of the federal highway bill, which would earmark twenty million dollars for an Interstate 10 connector.

Senator Sessions said that twenty million dollars is not nearly enough, so he could not guarantee the highway's completion, but he is confident it will be there one day.
