After almost a month of investigating, Dothan Police put five suspects wanted for first degree robbery behind bars.
The first arrest happened early Thursday morning and since then, police have linked four more suspects to robberies throughout the Wiregrass.
Thursday, Dothan Police arrested Quadarius McSwain on four counts of first degree robbery. Since then, several more pending robberies have been cleared as suspects continue to be arrested.
Dothan Police Department Chief John Powell said, "The significance to the arrest is this investigation has identified suspects who have been responsible for multiple robberies in the area and other communities."
The men who were arrested include, Quadarius McSwain, Gregory Patterson, Lamar Pearson, Derrick Johnson and a 15-year-old juvenile.
The men have been linked to several Dothan convenience store robberies and police are using new information from the suspects to help make further arrests.
"We anticipate additional charges forthcoming and additional charges to be made," Chief Powell added.
Two stolen shotguns were recovered during the first arrest, and police expect to bring more charges against the five suspects in the future.
Dale County, as well as other Wiregrass counties are looking into linking these suspects to robberies in their areas.
Dothan Police are still looking for more information about the robberies. You can call Crime Stoppers at 793-7000 to report any information.
