ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Both officials and residents of Aruba
are worried that the publicity surrounding the disappearance of an
American teen could hurt the island's lucrative tourism industry.

Natalee Holloway disappeared May 30th, hours before she was to
return from a trip with other students celebrating graduation. The island is just 18 miles off Venezuela's coast and heavily depends on American visitors. Tourism officials say three-fourths of the estimated 728,000 tourists last year were Americans.

A tour consultant says the teen's disappearance has affected everyone because there has never been such an incident before.

Four people are being detained as the case is investigated. But, so far, officials say there are no clues.
