A trial date has been set for an accused killer in Dothan who dropped out of sight for more than a decade.

Vincent Lampkin is charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend. Gwendolyn Brock was killed outside a Dothan nightclub in 1990. Witnesses identified Lampkin as the killer, but he disappeared that same night.

Police finally caught Lampkin last year in New Orleans. Investigators said the fugitive was married and working as a barber under an assumed name.

Lampkin is scheduled to stand trial in Dothan Jan. 13. He's being held without bond. A motion to move the trial away from Dothan because of pre-trial publicity has been denied.
