TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say another Tampa Bay-area resident is recovering after being struck by a falling bullet while watching fireworks.

Laura Kaatze was watching Fourth of July fireworks at a golf course when a bullet struck her in the right thigh.

Her husband tells the Tampa Bay Times that doctors want to let the 42-year-old woman's leg heal before deciding whether to try removing the bullet.

Sgt. Mike Lowell of Temple Terrace Police says investigators have not been able to determine who might have fired the shot into the air.

A man was struck in the face by a falling bullet while watching fireworks in Safety Harbor. Pinellas County Sheriff's officers say Richard Smeraldo initially thought he was hit by a rock.

He was treated at a hospital and released.
