Superintendent Hobbs' Contract Reviewed

June 20th was the first Dothan City school board meeting since the board got Huntsville attorney J.R. Brooks to review Superintendent Leon Hobbs' contract.

After the article in the Dothan Eagle on June 15th, many were curious about the board’s intentions in hiring the attorney. The meeting brought in a big crowd, and the group was very anxious to discuss the board’s explanation regarding the situation with Hobbs.

Board member Margaret Johnson requested a discussion on the update about Hobbs' contract from attorney J.R. Brooks. After an executive session involving a separate issue, the board reported that there was no update. Brooks is still reviewing Hobbs' contract and will report to the board upon completion.
