In a national, state and local survey, the City of Dothan ranked at the top for the best taxes, cost of living and wages.
The Dothan Chamber of Commerce participated in what is called the ACRA Survey. The organization sent out one of their employees to ge the price checks on groceries, housing, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and miscellaneous living items.
About 315 cities and counties participated in the survey, and when it came to wages, Dothan beat bigger Alabama cities such as Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery. Out of 100 points, the State of Alabama scored 92.85 in the survey and the City of Dothan scored 90.8.
