A Montgomery architect has unveiled his plans for a memorial dedicated to the eight Enterprise High School students killed in last year's tornado.
It has a reflecting pool, a small amphitheater and eight columns representing each of the students killed.
Architect John Woodham says the memorial should be complete by August, 2009 to coincide with the opening of the New Hillcrest Elementary School.
The memorial will be built near where the high school's third hall once stood, the location where the students died.
Groundbreaking is expected to take place for the New Hillcrest Elementary next week.
It will be built at the old school site on East Watts.
