Strong winds are shutting down major roadways.
The Saint George Island Bridge and the John Gorrie Bridge in Franklin County are closed to all traffic.
The Florida Highway Patrol is directing cars to take alternate routes.
Both bridges are expected to remain closed with weather reports predicting Debby will affect the area for another 12 to 18 hours.
