Fewer Recreation Opportunities in Covington County

Florala Mayor Danny Franklin and the city council agree there are few recreational opportunities for young people in southern Covington County.

The city along with the Covington County School District has been working on an agreement for Kiwanis Park.

Franklin says the aging facility located behind the high school needs repairs and new equipment.

He hopes the city will budget for new playground equipment and other activities at Kiwanis Park.
